Wapato Point has so many things to do at the resort, you would never have to leave the property, and still not get it all done. But there are also lots of local attractions that you can checkout while you are here.
How about a friendly game of “h-o-r-s-e” or a tournament of 3-on-3? A little bit of healthy competition makes for great family get-togethers, and is the fabric from which good stories are woven. We have two half courts by the tennis courts as well as one next to the volleyball pits at the Chelan side beach. Basketballs may be checked out at the KIOSK.
Let’s start with the beautiful sandy beach available exclusively to Wapato Point owners and guests. The resort is on an island-like peninsula surrounded by water on 3 sides, and almost the full length of the down lake side facing Chelan, is a sandy beach, with a large area roped off for swimming.

About 30 minutes away, Lake Chelan’s community ski hill for over 60 years! 70 acres of well groomed ski/snowboarding terrain, a snow tubing hill, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Beginner to expert runs, fireplace lodge and eatery.
Sometimes there is nothing more satisfying than a workout at the gym. Our exercise room has just what you need – elliptical trainer, stairmaster, and treadmills – to get your heart pumping. We also have a full complement of universal weight equipment to round out your regime. The exercise room is conveniently located in our indoor pool and hot tub facility and is available for use from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm daily. Your key card will give you access.
Ready, aim, pitch your shoe towards the stake. That’s right, how difficult can it be to toss a “ringer”? They say practice makes perfect and what a perfect opportunity to practice while on your perfect vacation. Our horseshoe pit is located near the miniature golf course. Issue the challenge, pick up your horseshoes at the KIOSK, and let the games begin.
The indoor hot tub is open year round with a glass ceiling for star gazing and watching the changing seasons while relaxing in the warmth of the tub, which is maintained between 102 and 104 degrees all year. What better way to unwind after a taxing workout, day on the lake, or an evening of ice skating, than slipping into the hot tub for a little relaxation?
Seasonally available during the winter months, our Ice Rink offers the opportunity to experience a unique winter sport. Our outdoor rink is located near the KIOSK just below the Clubhouse. Bundle up the family, get the hot chocolate ready, and test your skill at cutting figure eights on the ice. Ice skates may be rented from the KIOSK.
Who doesn’t want to jet ski on Lake Chelan? From Wapato Point, once you clear the no wake zone, there is wide open space to go full throttle or work on your skills. The one thing that we can guarantee is that you will have fun; whether it is riding by yourself or with a partner or two. Don’t worry if you don’t have one of your own, they also can be rented from Shoreline Rentals, conveniently located on property; age restrictions apply.
The lady of the lake makes trips into the heart of the lake chelan wilderness with surrounding peaks in excess of 9000 feet. Visit stehekin and the lake chelan national recreation area, and holden village.

Visit the KIOSK, our recreation center, conveniently located on the beach next to the miniature golf course, to rent a range of non-motorized water craft including kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and pedal boats. It’s a great opportunity to see the awe inspiring scenery surrounding Wapato Point while getting a little exercise at the same time. And who doesn’t love to paddle?
The first company of its kind in Chelan as well as Washington State. They have the largest parasailing boat, holding up to 15 people.
Don’t fall into your opponents “kitchen”! Pickleball is truly a game for all ages, shapes and skill levels. Pickleball is a combination of badminton, ping-pong and tennis. Players use a paddle that is reminiscent of ping-pong paddles, but is bigger and usually made of more advanced materials. The ball used is very similar to a plastic whiffle ball with holes covering the surface. Pickleball can be played as singles or doubles, just like tennis. Come give it a try on our new pickleball courts – it will be a smash!
One of the major attractions at Wapato Point is boating on Lake Chelan. We have both buoys and dock moorage available for our guests on both sides of the Point. If you plan to water ski, we have ski floats conveniently located on both sides of the Point.
Located at Don Morse Park in Chelan. Where the kids can get a feel for the open road… not. But they will have a great time. Open from Mid-June to Labor Day, daily.
This is the only theater in the valley and we are very proud to have it on the historical registry. The Ruby shows current films, once or twice daily.
You can use our 1.5 mile walking trail around the point or head straight out the gate and up into the orchard country. We are located in the middle of a runners’ paradise. Wapato Point has bicycles for rent and many places where you may store your own bike near your unit. There are numerous bike routes in the nearby hills that accommodate bicyclists of all skill levels, both mountain and touring bike options. One of our favorite routes is shown below and may be started from the property.
From grandparents to toddlers, this game can be played by the whole family, requiring both strength and subtlety at times to win. Our Shuffleboard courts are located near the tennis courts and the Chelan-side beach. Grab a set and see which team will be victorious. Stop by the KIOSK and pick up your Shuffleboard equipment.

Echo Ridge Nordic Ski Area is a unique cross country ski area with more than 25 miles of groomed trails just 10 miles from downtown Chelan. Terrain varies in skill level, and the vistas are breathtaking.winter

With multiple outdoor pools available during the summer months, one indoor Olympic sized pool available year round (with an exception of one week shut down for maintenance), and one GIANT lake…. Swimming is our thing!
Tennis anyone? An activity that definitely sets us apart from other resorts in the area is our six lighted, plexi-paved, tennis courts. It’s simply another way to make sure our guests have the widest range of activities to select from when they stay at Wapato Point. Tennis racquets and balls are available for rent at the KIOSK.
Wapato Point has a fully stocked Trout Pond available seasonally during the summer months. The Trout Pond is near the play area in the center of the property and boasts beautiful rainbow trout that range from 8 to 10 inches in length. Catching fish in our pond is a great way to teach your kids the joys of fishing. Our pond gives the young fisherman a high chance of success while learning the art of fishing. You may rent fishing poles, complete with bait, from the KIOSK.
If basketball isn’t your game, how about a game of volleyball? There are two courts, one in the sand for hard core beach ball and one in the grass for a family-friendly game. Gear may be checked out at the KIOSK.
A great way to get some light exercise while you are staying at Wapato Point is to use our 1.5 mile walking trail. Start at the front office, around the Point, and back up again.
